September 4 - 10

Monday was Labor Day! We came home from the ranch and I mowed the yard and the kids enjoyed playing outside.Tuesday the kids went back to school. After picking Alec up from school we went to town and had lunch with Mike and gave Roger a bath. He always gets so stinking after a weekend at the ranch. We ran some errands in town with Mike and then picked up the girls and came home and I canned some more pickles. Wednesday I took the kids to school then went to town and took Grandma Priest to the Dr to sign paper to get her ready to have her shoulder replaces. After she fell the bones did not heal well around the plate so they are going to remove the plate and do a total shoulder surgery. We came home that afternoon and froze peaches, green beans, and tomatoes.
Thursday the kids had school and I canned spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, and tomato juice. Friday the girls had school and Alec and I went to town and had lunch with Babs. We then ran some errands and enjoyed not having to pick the girls up after school as they went to cheer camp. That evening we all went to the football game to watch the girls cheer and Payne (Dewey the neighbor kid) play football. Alec enjoyed watching the game and the girls had fun cheering with their friends and playing until it was time to leave.

Saturday Melissa Dewey had a painting party so I walked over in the morning and painted a sign while Mike took the kids to the car show in town. It is not very often that the kids get time alone with their dad and they really enjoyed their morning together. That evening we watched the Nebraska game and just enjoyed being at home. Nebraska football is not very exciting this year as we are not very good and got beat most game by more than 2 touch downs.
My Sign

The perfect place for it for now
Sunday we went to church and then to Art in the Park where I got a couple new signs for our walls and some new pumpkins for out front. Sunday afternoon Rachel had her first volleyball practice and I enjoyed a walk around the track with some of the other moms. That evening we cleaned out my raised beds and picked the garden before hanging out as a family.
