December 27 - December 31

    Monday December 27th we cleaned the house and put away all the new Christmas presents. Rachel had piano at 3 and basketball practice from 4:30-6. That night we had chicken enchiladas for supper and enjoyed watching the kids with their new gifts. Tuesday Rachel had basketball in the morning and I took Alec to Seve's to play. I then went and ran some errands. Cassie brought Alec home and then I dropped him off at Beckett's so they could go to basketball practice while I went to Tara Mundt's 50th birthday party. I stayed until Alec needed picked up then we came home.

   Wednesday Rachel had practice in the morning then we moved Rachel into Mike's office, Mike in with my office and cleaned out under the stairs. We then cleaned and organized Alec's room and put on Becca's new bedding. Rachel finished her Harry Potter set. We had pork chops for supper that night and Mike took Becca to basketball practice. Thursday I worked on laundry and packing the camper. We worked on the girls rooms more and Rachel had basketball at 4. Lisa's mom Button's passed on the 30th surrounded by family.

  Friday Rachel had basketball in the morning then we headed to the Ranch. We visited and played that afternoon. That evening we ate a big dinner and opened presents. We had a great night celebrating the New Year and playing cards.

27 - Do you remember celebrating any special wedding anniversaries of you parents or grandparents? We had one of Grandma and Grandpa Kohle's anniversaries at the shop right after we opened it. We also did family pictures that year. It was right after Chris Kohle was born. Mom and Dad had a couple anniversary parties at their house. Bob Kaup roasted hog for it. He roasted hog for their wedding, 2 anniversaries, and Mike and I's wedding.

29 - Is there anything else you could like to say about your childhood? So many stories about trips with family and friends but covered lots of them

30 - Did you ever make a New Year's resolution as a youth? Yes every year but never kept them

31 - What special memories do you have of New Year's Eve or New Year's Day? We usually went to Maxine and LaVern's around New Years to watch the Husker's play their bowl game. We had fun serving the guys beer and playing with the mini pool table there and barbies. Went to New Year Eve parties in college. Since Mike and I have been married we have celebrated a lot of New Years at the ranch with the Simonsons!
